Hi, I’m Mary, and I love helping people gain the confidence to achieve their goals.
I was born in the US, raised in Italy, and moved to Sydney in 2014. From a young age, I’ve played sports, and for seven years, I played basketball professionally. When I got to Australia, I realised I wanted to start working as a personal trainer. I wanted to teach people how training at the gym can unlock many benefits.
In our current lives, we keep our minds busy and stimulated, but nothing in our day-to-day builds physical strength. We sit down for long hours. There’s no physical stimulus. Training in the gym used to be for bodybuilders and athletes, but now, every day, people realise how much they can gain from a proper exercise regime. I help people right here in Sydney’s Inner West see these benefits.
My training is a mix of strength and conditioning, customised to each client. Injury prevention is one of my highest priorities. When my career began, I collaborated with the physiotherapy team at the University of Technology Sydney’s gym, and the knowledge I gained about treating and preventing injuries has shaped how I train people. I am passionate about the art of weightlifting — expressing and executing strength through flawless movement and sound technique.
My goal is to develop personalised programs tailored to your unique body composition to build confidence in what you can achieve in the gym. Training is about health; it’s about creating a healthy mind so you can live life to the fullest, and a healthy body that is pain-free and capable. Together, we can strengthen the areas you need to work on while minimising your risk of injury as you train.
